Chronic musculoskeletal pain is one of the most prevalent geriatric syndromes, leading to a decline in quality of life and loss of functional independence in older age. In modern geroscience, pivotal importance is attributed to the concept of resilience, which is regarded as the organism's ability to maintain homeostasis and adapt to stressors, including pain syndromes.
