Modern demographic trends cause an increase in the proportion of patients of older age groups in the structure of hospitalized in therapeutic departments, therefore, increase the relevance of the introduction of the geriatric approach in the practice of a general practitioner. The article considers an algorithm for implementing a comprehensive geriatric assessment in hospital, which allows saving time resources of both the nursing staff and the attending general practitioner.
