Summary:
Definitions of disability and disabled people as social categories do not belong mainly sociological sciences, so ordinary notions of citizens that determine their everyday social practices, filled with simplified images of people with disabilities. Presented in the scientific literature social situations and social relations in the field of disability are mostly descriptive, registration, rather than analytical. Some attempts to show disability as a social institution did not find its completion in the form of a holistic picture of the social phenomenon. The absence of an analytical framework to study disability as a social phenomenon does not allow to develop mechanisms for the inclusion of citizens with disabilities in the integration processes in which simultaneously takes into account their individual properties and biosocial nature maladjustment, especially social relations at all levels of society, including the features of a social institution disability in Russia.
